Wah. I really never thought I could in the end have such fate. Initially when my english score was still a fail, i rank 147 in the level. Even though i had improved in L1R5 from mid year score of 36, to prelim 23. I was contented enough. But still, in level ranking i was only 147. Tat was just too unbearable. I put in effort enough to improve from 36 to 23, in the end only got 147 in level ranking. I thought, it was so unfair, to position students who had passed english but had lower L1R5 than me, and the fact that they can easily get a lvl ranking of 50~60. It was just the stupid English. But well, after being disappointed a while, i could still get over it. But today, just before DnT lesson, Mr Ramthan was standing outside the Cybernetics room. Once he saw me, he spoke " chin xian, did you know the good news? " I shook my head. Then he told me im rank first in class cos i passed my english. There was a change in ranking. The first impression i thought was that, "HUH?! wad? i tot my paper 1 and paper 2 both failed? could it be my oral...? " Yea, so that was it. Initially i felt very happy la. Cos I repeated the scenario in my P6 time. Got the first position. But later then i thought, that this time the honour was not rightfully mine. Cos my L1R5 was still a rather low 22. There were people more suitable for the first position, who were just a little unlucky that they failed eng. Then in the end i was rather unhappy, cos i really didnt get it by skill, its by luck that i passed Eng while other exponents unfortunately failed. If they all passed English, there would be no place for me in top 5. maybe even top 10. Suddenly thinking that prelims english were always harder than o lvl, I realised that if the Sec 4s were to perform the same way as they did in the prelims, all would have passed O lvls Eng. and wow man. Then, i will really have been pushed to the bottom. Seriously. I must work hard. Next week, is the mock exams week. I MUST. And I WILL. Do better than the score i achieved in my prelims. That's all. O lvls target English - B3 Maths - A1 Combined Science - A1 POA - A1 DnT - A1 Combined Humanities - B3 Chinese - A2~A1 Total : L1R5 10. L1B4 7. |
